The BACB is the sole national credentialing body for the BCBA, BCaBA and RBT credentials that gate Medicaid EIDBI and ABA billing, and provides no machine-readable verification API — so a state cannot check a claimed credential at enrolment against the register that issues it. Four certified referral letters sent 19 May 2026 to Senate HELP, House Education & Workforce, the FTC and DOE OSEP. A previously published 21.7% NOT FOUND rate was withdrawn on 8 September 2026; it rested on a name-match negative.
